Club Santiago Facts
Location
Club Santiago is a non-touristy spot due west of Mexico City on the Pacific Coast Located just 20 minutes north of Manzanillo, a working port and 4 hours south of Puerta Vallarta.
Flight Information
People can fly directly into Manzanillo from L.A. via Alaska/Northwest Airlines without having to deal with Mexico City. Other connecting flights are out of Houston. Arriving seems to required more time and possibly stops, while leaving Manzanillo is more direct. Go to http://www.alaskaair.com/ and plug in your city + Manzanillo to get exact quotes and times. July 25th, I booked my Round trip flight from Medford, Oregon to Manzanillo for just over $600 (and I just found the latest airfare NOW to be $378 on Jan 25th-great savings!). I reserved EARLY because it is their HOLY WEEK during that time too! I encourage planning ASAP.

The climate is supposed to average a moderate 80-84 degrees Fahrenheit year round

Spelling, Typos and Life
Another note I'd like to add is - if you find typos or misspellings in this text - I have to let you know, this is who I am. As a long time perfectionist, I am developing a "pleasure" in mistakes. Especially in regard to my Journals, which are a personal expression of just where I am and how I am and what I feel - I will not feel entangled in the perfection of "correct" or "perfect" spelling or form of English. I am no longer aiming at perfection - I wish only to express freely. So please, be prepared for doing the same. I'm thrilled to accept both "you" and "me" in our uniqueness. Cheers!
Elaine, I love your comments on why you journal. I'm working on the SCVWS newsletter, and decided to check out your blog. I find it so hard to focus...keep starting journals (diaries) but not finishing. We have trips to AK and Ireland next year, and you've inspired me to really try and journal in some meaningful way. Hope you're enjoying life in OR!
